 Two Young Captains: Zehra and İlkin 

We've just started the 11th week of Sultans League and we see two young and talented captains: Zehra Güneş and İlkin Aydın. Zehra is 25, İlkin is 24 years old and they have more achievements than their age. This season, Zehra is Vakıfbank SK's captain and İlkin is Galatasaray Daikin's. İn addition of that, they both play in the Turkey’s National Volleyball Team. They are an essential part of female volleyball and a good model for kids. Unfortunately, they are not given many opportunities in Turkey but they should be. I believe that these two young female players will open doors for others.  

Zehra Güneş was tall when she was a child and her PE teacher suggested volleyball to her. She started volleyball in Vakıfbank infrastructure. She was very talented and her coaches noticed this. She has quickly risen to the main team. She has won cups both with her team and individually. She won “The Best Middle Blocker” award multiple times. As far as İlkin Aydın is concerned, she started her professional career at İlbank SK. She has been playing in Galatasaray Daikin since 2017. She has become the captain this year. They have been both playing in Turkey’s National Team for six years. Despite their young age, they are very successful and examples to kids.  

Volleyball has become popular in Turkey in recent years. Turkish Volleyball Federation has a volleyball course called “Fabrika Voleybol”. Children who want to play volleyball and want to learn how to play can join this course. There are also tournaments for every group of age. I believe, with these two young talents, Zehra Güneș and İlkin Aydın, volleyball is going to be our national sport.  

To sum up, İlkin and Zehra are the light for the young volleyball players. All you need is to believe in yourself to become a star like them. They trained a lot and they’ve been successful. The conclusion we can draw from this story is that work and determination will bring success Anyone can be successful if they work hard. The main point is working as hard as Zehra and İlkin.
